The Project:
Love and baseball

A wife gives her husband a meaningful gift for their 10th anniversary. He played baseball and was drafted by a major league team.

She gathered and sent many items that told the story of their first 10 years of marriage and his baseball career: newspaper clippings, baseball cards, letters to one another, images, and other mementos.

Legacy Books digitized the collection and laid them out into an attractive book that is also a tax write-off, as he can use it as résumé material for future jobs in the field and for arranging speaking engagements.

The Project:
Craige / Craig Family Legacy Book

“I had been researching my family for several decades and wanted to publish it to preserve it for my posterity. In Legacy Books, I found a highly professional, full-service publisher. I went to the best!

I sent the book to genealogical societies where my ancestors lived. Many expressed their admiration for the high quality of the book, and one called it the ‘Gold Standard’ of how to publish a family history. Thanks so much.”

The Project:
Memories of george beard

George Beard was our client’s great-grandfather, and she had planned to publish a book about his life for three decades. When she discovered the unique design effort we perform for each of our clients, she commissioned Legacy Books to assist her with her dream.

Lisa, our client, had a life story and many of George’s photos from the early 1900s. George is a regionally known and still-respected photographer today. We were thrilled to work with such high-quality photos, and we designed and created a book that George would be proud of.

The crème de la crème of this production is no doubt the front cover of the book, which contains a drawing of George’s camera foil-stamped into the cover (complete with the name George gave his camera), and a die-cut where the camera lens is. Through the die-cut, the viewer can see a forest scene, which is actually one of George’s own photographs. This design feature brings George and his work back to life.
