Riverton, Utah’s first church and school was constructed during the winter of 1879 and 80 by Riverton’s own Silcock family, among others. Legacy Books was commissioned to compile the complete story of the meetinghouse, with a focus on the families associated with it. The result is Riverton Legacy Home.
The record tells the story of the buildings construction, what school and church were like in the late 19th century in a small Utah town, and contains lists showing many of the people who attended the historic structure for church, school, socializing, and other meetings. From our client’s wishes to a finished production, Legacy Books provided research, writing, scanning, layout and design, and the printing and binding services needed to create and preserve the story, or legacy, of Riverton, Utah’s first meetinghouse.
